having moved to houston im getting more of a feel for houston rap scene. not the commerical ones everyone across tha nation knows like paul wall and mike jones (even tho i love them) but more of the underground and local talent they have here. Me and a couple of my friends were riding and i heard this one song blasting on tha radio with such a great beat i had do a lil wiggle and dance in my seat lol. but to my surprise when i asked who tha rapper was they told me it was a local rapper by the name of Lil O. i didnt expect to like the underground shit around here but so far its good. anyways tha song's called "bethcha cant do it" and its really fun so check it on out.

aida introduced me to one of T.I.'s songs from is newest album Paper Trail called "dead and gone". I love tha song but i think JT makes the entire song. TIP is always good but come one he's kinda getting redundant with tha lyrical content.he made a smart ass move by getting that talented hottie on the track with him tho. love tha album cover too even tho he mentioned on trl that it wasnt his idea, still is eye catching compared to wut other rappers b doin

Jack's Mannequin

omgosh u guys. everyone needs to have gotten a little taste of Jack's Mannequin's music. I first heard of them on CW's One Tree Hill (my all time fav show btw). they performed their song "the mixed tape" i didnt think too much of it. Now a couple of years later in college i find myself watching MTVU which more leaning towards the indie genre, and they have a new single out. The song's name is "the resolution", which is tha shittt! i made it my myspace song. then i checked out youtube to rewatch the video of "mix taped" and fell in love with it all over again. The video had one of my fav actresses from OTH Hilarie Burton in it, but none tha less i fell in love with the song. I dont know if its because i got a better feel of it through their newest single or if it was her cameo or just a sick combonation of the 2, but its my myspace song now lol. And let me tell yall my myspace songs are always the current song im in love with.. soo ya. Anyways check out both videos they have a range of artistic and refreshing images.
